Here's a sample Illustration I did for a proposed children's book about African American Inventors. I was promised some money for this, and haven't heard from the guy in over a month, I'm guessing it was rejected and he's backing out of his monetary promise (no real surprise there).

State of the Union
Hey! I thought that since I've started posting frequently again, I might as well key everyone in on the projects that I'm developing, the art of which you'll see right here.
1 - kiosk.: First and foremost, I'm returning to kiosk. This is the one that'll take priority. I'm changing things up a little, and I've pushed all the old storylines I had planned aside. The entire reason I went on hiatus in the first place was due to health issues mostly, but also because it started to feel like I had to do it for other people, it carried too much pressure. The main difference you'll see when I start posting again is that I'm handling it more like a comic book instead of a strip. I won't post any full pages until the first "issue" is done, that way I'll have a full 25-30 pages done to get on the next issue. The art will be much, much better as well. I'm going to push myself on this one, and I'm doing some full blown backgrounds. That being said, it'll be a while until you see page one. The next noticeable change will be the fact that we're going from a PG rating to a borderline PG-13/R rating. Cause that's what life is on a daily basis. The old storylines will come back into play sometime after the massive 4 issue opening story arc, but who knows when. Also, I'm looking at putting together a "kiosk.: Year One" book together with all of the existing strips with commentary, look for more news on this soon.
2 - Twisted Tales of Fright : I'm working on a 10 page horror story for an anthology with a couple of other guys (hopefully). I'll post WIP pics of this one, it features an elderly dock worker on a fateful, foggy night.
3 - The Miscellaneous Adventures of Calico Jack and Vladimir Vodka : I'm really hoping to get moving on this one too. I'm rounding out the characters for the story of a ship of drunken sailors in pursuit of the Golden Flask, a mythical chalice that never empties of the bearer's favorite drink. Once kiosk. gets up and moving again, I'll try and post pages of TMACJAVV on Sundays as a treat. I'm looking at this as a done in one Graphic Novel.
4 - Baron Rocket and the Interstellar Corps. and Scouting Party : Two animated shorts I'm currently in the very early stages of pre-production on. Baron Rocket is about a group of rag-tag space bound bounty hunters who crash land on the prison planet where they were delivering their latest bounty to. And Scouting Party is about a group of Spartan warriors left behind to guard the hot gates after the war with the Persians was finished, but not all of the Persians turned tail and left as originally thought.
5 - Johnny Dakota, Shaman Thief : Still barely even in the stages of pre-production, hoping to throw together a pitch packet to shop around an action adventure animated show.
6 - Life, or Lack Thereof : It's almost here, finally. Years in the making, my buddy and I will hopefully record our first episode of the pop-culture podcast Life, or Lack Thereof. In the meantime, check out his wrestling podcast sWo Radio.
7 - Archetypes : Working on the cover of the first issue of a 4 issue mini, might see the light of day at the end of 2010. A group of superheroes from several different universes band together to battle a similar group of villains, all brought together by a mysterious force.
In between all of that, I'm looking to do some commissions. Please feel free to contact me regarding prices and such, I'm wide open.
I'll of course be posting all sorts of art right here, so keep a look out.
If there's a lack of postings, blame this guy:

Mall's Finest
Happy New Year! In my preparation for surgery next Friday, I've been trying to get my creative ducks in a row. I'm looking to bring myself back into the world I've all but abandoned almost a year ago, that of my webcomic "kiosk. life in neutral". The story "Mall's Finest" will also allow to dabble in the world of DC comics. Here's a sneak preview of the first two final covers and the pencils for cover #3. I'm looking to make it a 4 issue mini, with issue 4 having 2 different covers.
